                                        • Avoid alcohol and smoking at high altitude

                                        • Follow guide instructions at all times

                                        Acclimatization During the Trip

Strategic acclimatization stops at places like Namche Bazaar and Dingboche help improve oxygen adaptation and increase comfort and safety during the climb.

Experienced guides are trained to recognize altitude-related issues early and take appropriate action. If symptoms persist or worsen, descending to a lower altitude is the most effective solution.

Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is required for all participants joining the Lobuche Peak Climbing expedition. What Your Travel Insurance Must Cover

                                        Your insurance policy should include:

                                        • High-altitude trekking and peak climbing (up to at least 6,500 meters)

                                        • Emergency helicopter evacuation in case of illness or injury

                                        • Medical treatment and hospitalization

                                        • Trip cancellation or interruption

                                        • Personal accident and rescue expenses

Please note that standard travel insurance often does not cover mountaineering or peak climbing, so it is important to confirm this specifically with your insurance provider.

                                        Why Travel Insurance Is Important

                                        • The Everest region is remote, and emergency evacuations can be very expensive

                                        • Weather conditions can change quickly

                                        • Altitude-related issues may require immediate descent or evacuation

Having proper insurance ensures that you can receive timely medical assistance without financial stress.

Accommodation and Food During Lobuche Peak Climbing

                                        Accommodation

During the Lobuche Peak expedition, you will mostly stay in teahouses along the trekking route. These are cozy lodges run by local families, offering basic yet comfortable facilities:

                                        • Rooms: Usually twin or triple sharing, with warm blankets. Private rooms may be available in larger villages.

                                        • Bathrooms: Simple toilet facilities, often shared. Some teahouses provide hot showers for an extra fee.

                                        • Base Camp: Simple tents or shared shelters with heating options, depending on your expedition package.

Teahouse accommodation allows you to experience authentic Sherpa hospitality and the local mountain lifestyle.

                                        Food Options

Meals along the trek and at base camp are hearty, nutritious, and designed to help with energy and acclimatization:

                                        • Breakfast: Porridge, eggs, toast, noodles, pancakes, tea or coffee.

                                        • Lunch: Dal Bhat (rice and lentils), noodles, soups, sandwiches, or momo (dumplings).

                                        • Dinner: Rice or noodles with vegetables, lentils, or meat; soups and sometimes pasta dishes.

                                        • Snacks: Chocolate, biscuits, energy bars, and fruits are available in larger villages.

At higher altitudes, menus are simpler due to limited supplies, but guides ensure climbers get enough calories and fluids for energy and acclimatization.

                                        Drinking Water

Safe drinking water is available, usually boiled, filtered, or treated. You may need to purchase bottled water at some points, and carrying a water purification option is recommended.
