“Explore the vibrant Eastern region of Nepal to uncover its gems through trekking with Holiday Tours Nepal.”

Let’s join hands to explore the uncovered eastern Nepal region. Holiday Tours Nepal has put together this exclusive trekking package to witness the pristine landscapes and cultural heritage of East Nepal. This moderate-difficult trekking experience is also designed within the individual budget and can be enjoyed as a solo, group, or family trek.

The eastern region of Nepal is a heaven for those who wish to see the majestic, panoramic mountain peaks. Similarly, trekkers can walk through rugged, off-beaten terrains while entering some of the most protected areas, such as Makalu Barun National Park. The national park is home to some unique and rare flora and fauna. Some mammals are found here: red pandas, snow leopards, clouded leopards, jungle cats, golden jackals, Himalayan tahr, Hanuman langur, Himalayan goral, and musk deer.

Visitors mostly travel in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), the best seasons to trek in this region. Trekkers can clearly view mountains like Kanchenjunga, the third-highest mountain in the world, and Manaslu, the fifth-highest mountain, without any weather obstruction. Trekkers can also walk between Mount Kanchenjunga and Mount Manaslu in an epic trekking route called Lumba Sumba Pass Trekking.

Special permits like Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS) card, Makalu Barun National Park Conservation Area Permit, Makalu Rural Area Permit, and Restricted Area Permit (RAP) are necessary as per the regulation to enter the eastern side of Nepal for trekking or mountaineering.

The trekking duration can last 14 to 25 days, depending on the destination. Similarly, having travel insurance can be highly beneficial in case of emergency or unforeseen circumstances. The east region trekking is considered a high altitude trekking, so there are chances of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) or altitude sickness. Be sure to properly acclimatize, listen to your body, and trust the guide during trekking.
