Langtang Valley Gosainkund Pass Trekking, a great combination where adventure leads you on both sides of scenic Langtang Himal walking on high ridges and hills from North West to further south east to reach back at Kathmandu valley rim.

A fabulous journey to Langtang and Holy Gosainkund Trekking leads you into beautiful country with constant views of snow capped mountains in the harmony of local Tamang cultures and traditional life interwoven with Buddhism religion, which you can witness on this scenic walks.

Langtang Valley Gosainkund Pass Trekking, located north of Kathmandu valley and the closest Himalayan destination for all types of adventure from moderate-adventurous to challenging walks within cultural villages of great interest.

The area situated within Langtang National Park, the first park ever established in Nepal Himalaya Region way back in 1970’s which covers pristine woodland and wild animals with exotic bird life includes habitats for rare and nearly extinct Red Panda.

Starting with interesting drive heading towards north to reach our trekking point at Rasuwa district around Langtang Himal, walking through clouded forest and into gorge to reach a wide open Langtang valley at Kyanjin Gompa surrounded within high snow capped peaks of Langtang and Jugal Himal.

After a fabulous time on beautiful Langtang valley our next adventure leads to holy Gosainkund, a glacial pond regarded as sacred by Hindu religion where once a year in the month of August grand religious fair takes place.

From Gosainkund with pleasant time leads over a high pass of Gosainkund or East Laurbina-La pass to reach the other  east side of Langtang Himal region, as walk leads past nice and lovely villages with grand panorama  and stunning sunrise views at Chisapani.

Slowly walks leads to north east rim of Kathmandu valley where our marvelous Langtang Valley Gosainkund Pass Trekking concludes with a drive back to Kathmandu.

On arrival at Kathmandu international airport via respective airlines, where you will be received by our office staff and guide with the warm welcome greeting and then transfer to your hotels in the hub of the city.

After checking into your rooms and getting refreshed join the groups of Langtang & Holy Gosainkund Trekking at meeting hall for briefing, where our guide offers useful important information regarding trek and your stay in Nepal with us.

The evening includes welcome dinner in a nice and authentic Nepalese restaurant with Folk Culture program of Nepal while having your dinner.

    Morning as per the time is given on briefing, depart for the tour around Kathmandu at places of interest, as Kathmandu valley is steeped with historical and religious monuments temples and monasteries full of World Heritage Sites.

    After an interesting tour afternoon free to relax and prepare for Langtang & Holy Gosainkund Trekking next early morning overland drive to Rasuwa area.

      Starting our wonderful adventure with morning overland journey towards Langtang Himal area, as drive leads past Kathmandu valley rim heading north west to reach at Dhunche, the headquarter town of Rasuwa district within Langtang Himal, the home Tamang people the hill tribe of Central Himalaya.

      From drive leads downhill on zig-zag winding road to reach at Syabrubesi for first overnight stop within Langtang area.

        The morning begins our first-day trek of this wonderful trip heading towards a bridge and then on uphill through spread-out farm villages and nice tended terraced fields entering into the cool shade of forest with tall rhododendron-magnolia-oaks and pines trees with some bamboo thickets.

        Slowly walks lead past treelines reaching an open area at Lama Hotel, a place with several basic lodges and Tea-House for trekkers surrounded within the woodland.

          After a pleasant overnight with the sound of river, morning walk leads into a river gorge covered with lovely dense forest, as our route leads to a clearing at Ghoretabela a nice spot with few lodge, here for possible lunch stop.

          Enjoying with refreshing break, then walking back into tree lines as our trek leads higher ground to reach Langtang village at the end of a gorge, a nice Tamang village (which was destroyed during the earthquake of 2015 but slowly coming back to normal life), here with time to wander around this nice traditional village of great interest.

            From Langtang village walking on nice gradual uphill trail for few hours following “mani-prayer wall” where walking clockwise is the appropriate way in respect to Buddhist religion, walk leads further east as valley opens up with views of snow capped peaks.

            After hours of gentle good walk overlooking views of peaks brings you at Kyanjin Gompa a charming and scenic spot with amazing views of Langtang Lirung above 7,000m and its icefall at near distance Kyanjin Gompa, surrounded by a ridge formed by glacial moraine of rocks and boulders.

              A leisure day, visit Kyanjin small Cheese factory optional climb to Tsego-Ri or Kyngin Ri at above 4,700 m / 15,420ft which will add more heights of the adventure offers stunning panorama of snow capped mountains from Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal (7,405 m), Langtang Lirung (7,234 m),  Ghengu Liru (Langtang II  6,571m), Kimshun (6,745 m) and Shalbachum(6,918m), Chimsedang, Naya-Kanga or Ganja Chuli (5,846m), Gangchempo, Tilman's beautiful Fluted Peak, Jugal Himal and ending to eastern horizon at Dorje Lakpa (6,980m).

                wonderful time at Kyanjin, retrace the journey back on same route to Lama-Hotel a small settlement in the midst of the forest at the bank of upper Trisuli River.

                  From here on our route leads to next destination as walk follows on same trail for an hour, after a bridge into cool shade of bamboo forest, and then climb uphill past landslide sections of rocks and boulders and into farm terraces to reach at Upper Syabru also called as Thulo Syabru which means bigger / larger, a village with row of houses situated on a high ridge with an old monastery.

                    Morning walk leads to a climb above the monastery to reach higher ground facing views of Ganesh-Himal, Manaslu, Langtang and Annapurna range as far towards west horizon, after few refreshing stops, journey continues with an hour uphill from the farmlands and into cool alpine forest and then reaching at Sing Gompa for overnight stop near its old monastery.

                      Our adventure continues overlooking views of snow-clad peaks from Langtang to Ganesh-Himal range and as far towards North West with Manaslu and Annapurna range, as our trek leads on gradual up for an hour entering oaks, pines and rhododendron forest, after brief stops with grand views.

                      The journey continues with the steep climb on leaving tree lines and green vegetation behind for dwarf rhododendron, juniper, and alpine shrubs bushes.

                      The path unwinds uphill passing through few teahouses at Laurabina, means a place with walking sticks, (on auspicious time in August with full moon as per the Nepali Luna calendar, the pilgrims visit Gosainkund pond for ritual bathe and dip belief it delivers one into paradise and drink of its holy water relinquishes the sins of a hundred lifetimes) Hindu pilgrims leave their walking stick here so the name Laurabina.

                      From here short descend and up reaching across Saraswati and Bhairab kund after a small climb brings you to our overnight stop at Gosainkund near its pristine pond. Here you can see lots of traces left behind by the pilgrims.

                      Sacred pond of Gosainkund a pilgrimage site, where great festival observed every year at Janai Purnima (Full Moon) in the month of August, exact dates as per Hindu Lunar calendar where hundreds of Hindu and Buddhists pilgrims throng the sacred lake for a holy bath.

                      According to popular belief, the huge rock at the center of the lake is the remains of a Shiva temple.

                        From Gosainkund a pleasant walk on the small path along a pond, and then climb near a small creek in between rocks and boulders, as the walk leads close to a small pond of Surjakund the trail here is more gradual with winding up to Gosainkund pass or East Laurabina La the highest spot of the adventure.

                        After the top, along descending to Phedi (bottom) at 3,694 m few teahouses, a possible lunch stop and then our journey continues east towards Helambu region and back into green vegetations of junipers, rhododendron and then reaching at Ghopte (meaning overhanging rocks) for the overnight stop.

                          After walking around complete wilderness, walk from here trails joins of Helambu and Kathmandu; trek is pleasant into forest for an hour, with an hour uphill to Tharepati 3,597m.

                          A nice spot situated on a ridge overlooking views of peaks with Jugal Himal range and Ganesh-Manaslu towards west.

                          From here descent to Mangeghot, a nice place with grassy field, with an Nepal Army Barrack from here walking back into farm fields and to Kutumsang for overnight stop, this village with Sherpa, Hyalmo and Tamang hill tribes.

                            Today a long day walk to Chisapani, morning journey on the winding path with few ups and downhill walks passing many rural farm areas and villages to reach Gul-Bhanjyang located on a ridge top.

                            After a refreshing break continues to walk on nice and pleasant trail past farm villages to reach at a nice Pati Bhanjayang village, from this village with the short climb to our last overnight stop at Chisapani, a nice and scenic small village close to the northern hill of Kathmandu Valley rim.

                            A scenic spot with stunning sunrise views over the range of peaks Jugal Himal towards northeast and Ganesh Himal-Manaslu and Annapurna range towards west.

                              Last day of this wonderful adventure as morning walk leads into lovely forest and farmlands after few hours of pleasant walk up to ridge top of Burlang and Chepu Bhanjyang at 2,438 m, overlooking views of Kathmandu Valley, from here downhill to Sundarijal (means beautiful water) a lovely spot with cool shade of forest and fresh streams.

                              Sundarijal, a small farm town from here drive back to Kathmandu after a great moment on Langtang Valley & Holy Gosainkund Trekking, as drive leads past Bouddhanath areas into bustling city road and then back to your hotel in Kathmandu.

                              Afternoon free at leisure for shopping souvenirs, evening farewell group dinner in nice Nepalese restaurants with Nepalese culture programs.

                                Your last day in amazing Nepal, the land of Himalayan wonders as per your international flight time back home or to respective connecting destinations.
