The Jomsom Muktinath Trek is considered as one of the spectacular trekking spot located in the North of Pokhara of the Annapurna Region. This is a most popular short trek attracting over 75% of all trekkers. Himalayan magnificence is the most spellbound story to tell about this place. Jomsom is the starting point for Jomsom Muktinath Trek while you are on the flight from Kathmandu. Otherwise, the trip starts just from the north of Pokhara and passes through the Poon Hill area and then exceed towards the Dhaulagiri icefall giving you a prime view of all the mountains. After reaching Jomsom the trek heads up to Muktinath.

Muktinath is not only popular for trekking but equally popular and important pilgrimage place for Buddhists and Hindus. This is one of the lower elevation treks of 3800meters above sea level during which travelers will be going through green hills, mysterious Buddhist monasteries, beautiful and traditional villages of Thakali Community along with witnessing the local cultural life there is a grand view of Mt. Annapurna range, Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m, Mt. Machhapuchhare 6993m (Fish Tail) and so many others resided at this location.

Up on arrival you will be picked up at the international airport in Kathmandu and transferred to the hotel by our airport representative. After refreshments your tour guide will pick you up at your hotel for a half day sightseeing tour to Kathmandu’s Durbar Square. Later on this evening you will be picked up from your hotel for a cultural dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel.

    Today you have a full day guided sightseeing tour to the Buddhist and Hindu sights in Kathmandu, probably to Durbar Square, then visit “Swyambhunath” a Holy sight of Hinduism and Buddhism also known as “the monkey temple” as a large number of holy monkeys are living in the north-west part of the temple. Next, you will be taken to “Pashupatinath a sacred Hindu temple situated on the bank of the Bagmati River. You will then be driven to “Boddhanath Stupa” one of the biggest and oldest stupas in the world. Later in the afternoon there will be a pre-trip meeting with your trekking guide in your hotel. Our office representative will brief you regarding the trek as well as provide you the opportunity to ask any questions of the upcoming trip. Second overnight in Kathmandu.

      Today an early morning breakfast at the hotel you will be picked up timely by your guide and transfer to the bus station through the scenic countryside drive to the Lakeside city of Pokhara. After refreshment at the hotel your guide will take you around the Lake or you can go for boating on the lake. Lather on this evening your guide will brief you about next day program. Stay overnight at the hotel in Pokhara.

        Today an early morning you will transfer to the airport for short and scenic flight to the Jomsom. Jomsom is a capital of Mustang district, starting and ending point of Jomsom trekking. After short break you will start trek through the Kali Gandaki valley to the north. The trail leaves the town and follows the broad river valley, sometime above the river but mostly along the rocky bank of the river, pass through the Eklai Bhatti. From here the trail follows to the left again along the valley to Kagbani, a green oasis at the junction of the Jhong Khola and the Kali Gandaki. Kagbeni  is a village/town which is seen as of past time. The typical mountain mud houses, very dark passes and large ochre color Gumba can be seen above the town. After refreshment you will have time to explore the area. Stay overnight at tea house.

          The trail starts a steep climb up the Jhong valley and joins the major trail to the Muktinath. The walk from Khingar to Jharkot is a delightful one among meadows, streams and poplar and fruit trees. Jharkot, with its picturesque kani and large gompa, is well worth exploration trek to Muktinath.  Muktinath is an important pilgrimage place for both Hindus and Buddhists. Stay overnight at the tea house.

            Today an early morning wake up with Muktinath temple and after breakfast easy trek down to Eklai Bhatti. The trail descends very quickly to the valley floor. The descent is through a dramatic, arid landscape all the way to Eklai Bhatti. Trek onwards to Jomsom and further to Marpha village, a major village on the Kaligandaki trading route. This is very windy path in the afternoon and therefore it’s good to cross before noon following the downstream of Kaligandaki with different views of mountain and sandy path. Visit Marpha village with Monastery, Apple Brandy factory and around. Stay overnight at the tea house.

              The trails leave the village and pass some bhattis (local tea shop) on the flat trail along the Kali Gandaki River with nice view of t he Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri Mountain. After crossing the Tukuche village you will be able to see one of the famous Dhaulagiri Ice-fall, walk continues through the Largung and Kobang village on the flat path all the way to Kalopani.  Today you will be able to visit Tukche Distillery. Stay overnight at the tea house.

                After wonderful view of Mt. Annapurna I from Kalopani, today after breakfast trek slow down hill to Dana, where we are going to stop for lunch. Right after Kalopani you will see one of the deepest gorges of the world. After lunch another 02 hrs walks to Tatopani, at Tatopani the view of Mt. Nilgiri is magnificent. Natural hot spring bathing is a main attraction to the clients at Tatopani. Tato is ‘hot’ and pani is ‘water’ in Nepali. On reach at Tatopani, refreshment ant then trek about 10min to hot spring pool. Stay overnight at the tea house.

                  In Nepal never finish up and down especially when you are doing trekking in the mountain, so today you have to climb almost 1600m in a day to Gorepaani. On the way, you will pass through the villages of many ethnic groups in every short distance with different life style, housing style accordingly profession too. The main villages on the way are Ghara, Shikha, Phalate and Chitre. Today you will have different view of Mt Dhaulagri, Mt Nilgiri and Mt Annapurna. Stay overnight at the tea house.

                    Today an early morning guide will take you to the Poon Hill, where you may able to the sunrise for the lifetime memory.  Over 30 snow-capped peaks of the whole Annapurna range can be seen from here in include Mt Fishtail and Mt Dhaulagiri

                    After wonderful time in the Poon Hill, back to hotel for breakfast, than continues trek to the Tadapani. This area is one of the finest and most famous trekking areas of Nepal. The Annapurna ranges and Machhapuchre (Fishtail) dominate the mountain views with glimpses of farther Lamjung Himal and the Manaslu range to the east. Stay overnight at the tea house.

                      Tadapani is a nice place itself from where you will be able to see good sunrise and mountain which surrounded by the Rhododendron frost. Today after breakfast the trail descends through the deep forest to the Ghandruck. This is a modern village of this trek and nice village settlement in terrace field. Stay overnight at the tea house.

                        After wonderful time in the mountain the trails descend all the way to Syauli Bazaar from here the trail begins level till Nayapul from where your trek going to finish and drive to Pokhara. Stay overnight at the hotel in Pokhara.

                          After breakfast in the hotel in Pokhara, you will be ready for day drive back to Kathmandu through the scenic countryside. Stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

                            Today you will transfer to the international airport for final departure or join another activity with us.
