Bardia National Park established in 1988 as Royal Bardia National Park covering an area of 968 km2 one of the largest and undisturbed National park of the country. Located far south west of Terai region the only flat land of Nepal, covers alluvial grassland within subtropical moist deciduous forest were exotic wild animals and birds life habitats.

Covering 70% of the park with forest including wide range of vegetation .The grassland provides excellent habitat for 642 fauna species . The Bardia National Park is the home of 53 different mammals including rhinoceros , wild elephant , Royal Bengal tiger ,swamp deer and Gangetic dolphin . The flora recorded in the park comprises 839 species including 173 vascular plant species , 140 dicots, 26 monocots ,six fern and one gymnosperm species .Current checklist include 407 species of bird life with population of 29 rhino. Bardia National park is the home of various endangered wildlife and vegetation .

To reach Bardia National Park the shortest option is 50 minute scenic flight from Kathmandu to reach at Nepal far south west in Nepalgunj airport, where one can witness great views of snowcapped mountains during air-borne. Upon reaching Nepalgunj airport ,the city which is close to the border of UP state of India .

The villages and towns of strong Indian influence due to its closeness to India border. From here to reach the buffer zone of Bardia National Park taking an hour drive further west to enjoy the thrill of jungle life and activities. The another option to go Bardia is by bus which takes 12-13 hrs scenic drive to the nearest village, Thakurdwara to reach the park .you can also hire private jeep/car for the luxurious trip to reach there which is costly in comparison to bus. Trip Itinerary

Day

On your arrival at Nepalgunj Airport or Ambas Stand hotel representative will receive you. You will then be transferred to our Lodge where you will be offered refreshment and be given a briefing on our lodge and its facilities. After being given your programs details you will check in, than lunch. Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and life style of the Tharus. Dinner- cultural program .

Day

Wake up call followed by tea/coffee. Breakfast Elephant ride (for an hour), an excellent opportunity to get the lifetime experience on the elephant back and to see the wildlife of the Park. Visit to visitor Center, Crocodile Breeding Center and Tharu Cultural Museum. Lunch Jungle Walk. An excellent opportunity to see the wild animals, small mammals, birds and waits in the tower (Machan) to have the wild sightseeing, accompanied by our experienced naturalists and wild life tracker. Excellent photographic opportunities are plentiful.

Day

Wake up call followed by tea/coffee. Breakfast Tiger Tracking and Bird Watching. An excellent opportunity to see a Royal Bengal tiger and a great many species of birds found in Bardia. Lunch Jeep Drive. An excellent opportunity to see wild animals and you will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Bardia their home.

Wake up call followed by tea/coffee. Breakfast Visit to Karnali River for Dolphin Sightseeing Lunch Departure for onward Journey .
